Villa
Bianchini, built in the 16th century, presents a rare
opportunity to experience a unique baronial manor
in the countryside surrounding Todi. Perched on a
hilltop overlooking the Tiber valley with panoramic
views of the surrounding hills and Todi, the villa
is surrounded by 3.5 hectares of gently rolling land
including an olive orchard, a fruit orchard, formal
gardens and a 12 x 6 meter swimming pool. There is
a 17th century consecrated private Chapel.
The
three-storey villa has 11 bedrooms and 5.5 baths.
Two grand salons and formal dining room all feature
high wood beamed and painted ceilings, large stone
fireplaces and antique lighting fixtures. The furnishings
are a tasteful mix of antique and traditional typical
of grand country estates. The floors throughout the
house are handmade terracotta tile. Each room features
distinctive characteristics and breathtaking views.
Recent renovations have equipped the villa with state
of the art electrical, plumbing and water treatment
systems. The phone system enables room to room intercom
as well as outbound calls.
The Ground Floor
Large carriage-size main entrance through massive
antique wooden doors leads to a three story enclosed
atrium lit by three large palladium windows on the
third floor. Ancient, arched stoned staircase in the
center leads up to the first and second floors. To
the left of the stairs a side entrance to the Chapel,
to the right a barrel vaulted game room. Laundry room/summer
kitchen and half bath.
