| Named
“Il Gelso” after the majestic Mulberry
tree which stands by the farmhouse. It’s hollowed
trunk looks at least as old as the 16th century buildings
named after it. Tenuta Gelso stands above the road
to the village of Torre Gentile with superb views
towards Todi, surrounded by hills and woodland.
The entire villa has
been designed with antiques and important pieces of
art. The first floor consists of a large sitting room
with antique stone fireplace. The sitting room leads
to a south facing terrace and the landscaped gardens.
There is a fully equipped open kitchen with dining
area perfect for those who love to cook. There is
a large formal dining room which comfortably seats
14.

The second level consists
of four double bedrooms . The master suite is especially
large and has an densities bath with Marble tub and
shower. There is one twin bedroom with en-suite bath
with shower. One twin bedroom and one double bedroom
share a full bath with tub.
Adjacent
to the main house is a beautiful cottage which is
part of the 16th century farm set around an ancient
stone paved threshing-floor that leads to spectacular
views of the valley and Todi. Gelsina is done in a
traditional Umbrian style, and radiates a feel of
warmth and comfort both inside and out. The floors
of the living areas and bedroom in the cottage have
been finished in hand-made terracotta tiles.
The
Gelsina cottage consists of a spacious sitting area
with picturesque views of the valley. There is a sleeper
sofa for couples with children and cots are available.
