Immersed in the typical Umbrian countryside of unpolluted
woods, Casale la Badia is an old stone building dominating
the valley like an ancient guardian and a point of
reference for the travellers of the past. The beauty
of the countryside as well as its location between
green Umbria and rich Tuscany , make it the ideal
place from which to explore the sights offered by
the territory and where to a spend pleasant and relaxing
vacation. The recently renovated house has maintained
its timeless fascination thanks to the elegant furnishings
such as wooden ceiling beams and tiled floors, to
the choice of colours and to the large and luminous
rooms characterized by open stone walls. The owners
have chosen the furnishing with good taste and it
is comfortable and functional. The view from the lovely
terrace built into the roof on the second floor, the
large swimming pool looking out over the woods below
and the natural surroundings, make Casale La Badia
a magical place in which to spend time in a perfect
mixture between past and present.
PARK: situated on the top of a gentle hill, our holiday
home is surrounded by a splendid 12 1⁄2 acres
well maintained wood of oak trees. The 1500 m garden
with the swimming pool is completely fenced in and
is reached from the house by a 800 m road leading
through the woods.
SWIMMING POOL: open from May 28th to October 6th,
it measures 6 x 12 m and has a maximum depth of 2,40
m . The salted water reaches up to the edge creating
an infinity effect dominating the valley below.
INTERIOR: on the ground floor the entrance from the
garden leads directly into a beautiful living room
with stone fireplace and then on to the fully equipped
kitchen, with a large table seating 12 people, from
which to admire the splendid panorama or go out into
the garden. A double bedroom with private bathroom
with shower and a twin bedroom with bathroom with
shower are also to be found on this floor. A characteristic
staircase leads up to the first floor with a large
living room with open face stone walls, two double
bedrooms and a bathroom with tub. The staircase leads
onto the second floor with two bedrooms, a twin and
a single with queen size bed, and an attractive bathroom
with shower. A door leads out onto the beautiful roof
terrace overlooking the tranquillity of the splendid
Umbrian countryside.
